Within the scope of the cooperation that will last for 8 months, Mikado will support the development and implementation of the reverse mentorship program for the empowerment of communication between young and experienced employees.

Sahibinden.com Strategic Sustainability Consulting

The collaboration between Mikado Sustainable Development Consulting and Sahibinden.com started in September 2023. As part of the strategic sustainability consulting offered to Sahibinden.com, assistance will be extended to formulate the organization’s sustainability strategy and prepare the sustainability report. The initial phase involves identifying sustainability priorities and measuring sustainability maturity in partnership with Digitopia. The subsequent stage will involve the ongoing preparation of Sahibinden.com’s 2023 Sustainability Report.

CCİ Turkey Community Investment Program

The collaboration between Mikado Sustainable Development Consultant and Coca Cola İçecek (CCI) began in March 2023. The collaboration, which will last for 18 months, will support the implementation of a community investment program aimed at increasing women’s employment in CCI Turkey.The program includes opportunities for scholarships, internships, career development trainings, and employment within CCI Turkey.

İnci Foundation Community Investment Program

Collaboration between Mikado Sustainable Development Consulting and Inci Foundation-Inci Holding started in April 2023. Within the scope of the cooperation that will last for eight months, consultancy services will be provided to support the development and implementation of a social investment program for women’s empowerment.

Ford Otosan Community Investment Program

Collaboration between Mikado Sustainable Development Consulting and Ford Otosan started in August 2022. Within the scope of this cooperation; Consultancy services will be provided to support the development and implementation of a social investment program aimed at empowering women in the field of technology and innovation.

SPOR ISTANBUL Strategic Sustainability Consultancy

Cooperation between Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy and Sports Istanbul started in October 2021. Within the scope of strategic sustainability consultancy for Spor Istanbul, support will be provided for the development of the sustainability strategy of Spor Istanbul and the preparation of the sustainability report. The studies, which will start with the prioritization of sustainability, will continue with the preparation of the 2021 Sustainability Report of Spor Istanbul.

GARANTİ BBVA Sustainability Ambassadors Program

Cooperation between Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy and Garanti BBVA started in October 2021. Within the scope of Garanti BBVA Good Ministers of the World Program, a Sustainability Envoys structure will be established to enable the private sector to play an active role in sustainable development.

In this context, the studies that will start with Capacity Building Workshops will continue with the Ideathon, where employees will develop project ideas that serve sustainable development purposes.

With the projects implemented, it is also aimed to increase the speed of reaching the sustainability goals of the bank, to spread the sustainability understanding in the internal and external ecosystem of the bank, to support corporate social innovation and to strengthen the corporate belonging of the employees.

Erte Cosmetics Strategic Sustainability Consultancy

Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy and Erte Cosmetics cooperation started as of December 2021. Within the scope of the consultancy that will last for one year, support will be given to the development of Erte Cosmetics’ sustainability strategy and the preparation of the sustainability report. Studies that will start with the prioritization of sustainability will continue with the preparation of Erte Cosmetics’ 2021 Sustainability Report.

SANOFI Social Impact Study (SROI)

Within the scope of the cooperation between Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy and Sanofi, which started in October 2022, the social impact of the Future Women Leaders (GKL) Program, which Sanofi carries out together with the Turkish Women Entrepreneurs Association (KAGIDER), will be examined. Social Return on Investment (SROI) method will be used in the social impact studies to be carried out. In this framework, the impact of the GPL Program on the stakeholders and the financial values of the changes experienced by the stakeholders will be measured, and the areas open to development of the GPL Program will be investigated.

ATTUNE Sustainable Campus Project

ATTUNE Sustainable Campus Project, which was accepted within the scope of Erasmus+ and will be carried out under the leadership of GAP Spain, of which we are a partner as Mikado, starts as of January 2023. The project includes 10 partners from 5 countries and will last 2 years. The Project plans to design and pilot an innovative learning program that makes university campuses more sustainable. Based on shared values that help mitigate the impact of climate change and mobilize all university community members, the project aims to contribute to building a more inclusive and sustainable future. In addition, the program is planned to be extended not only to participating universities and campuses but also to other universities.

Ethics and Reputation Society (TEİD) Final Evaluation Report

Mikado Sustainable Development Consulting prepared the final evaluation report of the “Turkish Integrity Center of Excellence” (TICE) Project. TEİD carried out TICE in cooperation with Siemens Integrity Initiative between May-June 2023. The project was evaluated in terms of relevance, efficiency, effectiveness, impact, and sustainability dimensions.

KORDSA Social Impact Study (SROI)

Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy provided consultancy services for the Social Return on Investment (SROI) analysis and reporting, in which the 2020 activities of the Strengthening the Future Project conducted by Kordsa are evaluated. Strengthening the Future Project aimed to support and strengthen the educational processes of students and teachers. The SROI study, completed in October 2022, presented important findings to strengthen the social impact of future projects to be realized by Kordsa.

TEMSA Social Impact Study (SROI)

Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy and TEMSA cooperation started in April 2022. Focusing on TEMSA’s contributions to Çukurova University (Ç.Ü.) Automotive Engineering Department, Social Return on Investment (SROI) analysis and records are being studied. This research was carried out by TEMSA’s Ç.Ü. The impact of its contributions to the Automotive Engineering Department and the financial values of the changes it has experienced will be measured and TEMSA’s Ç.Ü. Areas open to the development of cooperation with the Automotive Engineering Department will be explored.

Water Explorer

The Water Explorer Program is starting again with the support of Maxion İnci Wheel Group!

Primary and secondary schools from the provinces of İzmir and Manisa will be able to participate in the program. In the program, students aged 8-14 will do fun and instructive activities aimed at developing water awareness.

Within the scope of the Water Explorer Program, a final event will be held at the end of the term and the teams will be evaluated by a jury of experts.

ÇİMSA Social Impact Study

As Mikado Sustainable Development Consulting, consultancy services are provided for the Social Return of Investment (SROI) analysis and reporting of ÇİMSA’s “Children of Summer” project. The study, which started in October 2021, aims to reveal the level of achievement of the projected results of the projects at the community level, their impact on their stakeholders, and areas for improvement.

Maxion İnci Wheel Group Community Investment Program

As Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy, we started a Social Investment Program cooperation with Maxion İnci Wheel Group, which will continue until the end of 2022.

As part of the collaboration, Mikado designs and executes Maxion İnci Wheel Group’s Community Investment Programs.

In the structuring of employee volunteering, which is one of the pillars of Social Investment programs; Sustainable Development Goals Volunteers, Project Volunteers and Support Volunteers teams will be doing corporate volunteering.

AKBANK

The cooperation between Mikado Sustainable Development Consulting and AKBANK started in June 2021, and sustainability seminars are held within the scope of Akbanklı Buluşmalar.

As part of June 5, World Environment Day, seminars on Climate Change and Environmentally Responsible Choices and the EU Green Deal were given. In addition, a one-day Sustainable Supply Chain Management training was held for AKBANK managers in September 2021.

BRİSA

In cooperation with BRİSA which started in August 2021, we carried out the monitoring and evaluation process of six projects within the scope of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Quality Education and Gender Equality.

In addition to revealing the contribution of Brisa’s social projects to the relevant SDG, the projects are examined within the framework of the Social Return on Investment (SROI) methodology. By determining the financial values of the changes created by the projects; the monetary value of the changes that occur with the project investment is compared.

CMS Catalyst Management Services

Within the scope of VF Corporation’s innovative Worker and Community Development program (WCD), Mikado Sustainable Development Consulting conducted interviews with 5 different textile factories for the Turkish leg of the research conducted in 19 countries in order to determine the well-being of workers and their current needs.

Catalyst Management Services, VF Corporation’s partner in data collection support, has partnered with Mikado Sustainable Development Consulting for the interviews to be conducted in Turkey. Within the scope of the cooperation that started as of August 2021; face-to-face and online surveys were conducted with the workers of 5 different factories from different regions of Turkey.

WCD Program puts sustainable improvements in the production process among its main objectives, as well as creating a safe and stable working environment for workers.

Yaşar Holding Strategic Sustainability Management Consulting

Our strategic sustainability management consulting cooperation with Yasar Holding, which we carried out in 2015-2016, continued throughout 2022.

In these periods; we have carried out renewal of sustainability priorities, updating of the sustainability strategy, implementation of the updated strategy and sustainability-based stakeholder dialogue. Also sustainability reporting consultancy was provided for 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 reports.

Within the scope of the sustainability reporting consulting service, Yasar Holding 2021 Sustainability Report was deemed worthy of an award in the Sustainable Business Reporting category of the Sustainable Business Awards organised by the Sustainability Academy for the 10th time in 2023.

WWF-Turkey (World Wild Fund for Nature) Green Office Implementation Partnership

Mikado Consulting has become the implementation partner of the Green Office Program run by the World Wildlife Fund as of October 2020. Green Office is an economy and recovery/improvement program applied in offices. Program; aims to raise awareness among office workers about energy savings, renewable resources, conscious consumption/usage of natural resources and changing lifestyles, especially carbon emissions. The cooperation between WWF-Turkey (World Wildlife Fund) and Mikado continues in the new period of 2022.

Arçelik

Within the scope of the cooperation that started as of November 2020, consulting is provided within the framework of content preparation for the Sustainability Communication Channel prepared by Arçelik globally for all employees.

Sabancı Holding

The consultancy, which started in November 2020 and lasted for 9 months, comprises structuring a capacity building program for the children of healthcare professionals, developing program tools and implementation of the program.

In the program, which was implemented in April, a platform including personal development training, career support, contents and films on professional development has been prepared for 11th and 12th grade students who are relatives of healthcare workers. In addition to the training contents of the platform, a structured mentoring program has been prepared.

Abdi İbrahim

Within the scope of the consultancy that started in December 2020 and will last for 1 year, services will be provided for Abdi İbrahim to develop and implement an effective community investment program.

School Project: FCHgo!

As Mikado Consulting, we conducted the FCHgo international competition in Turkey. The FCHgo Project aims to encourage the younger generation to learn about fuel cell and hydrogen technology, a form of renewable energy.

Mother Child Education Foundation (AÇEV)

Within the scope of the consultancy, which started in September 2020 and ended in July 2021, the impact assessment study of the “Program for the Prevention of Child, Early and Forced Marriages” of the Mother Child Education Foundation is being carried out.

The study consists of the activities of the Program to increase awareness about these marriages and to prevent these marriages; examines the changes it has made on mothers, fathers, girls and boys. With the impact assessment studies carried out, it is aimed to reveal the impact of the Program on the beneficiaries in question and to offer more effective program preparation suggestions for the future.

Kale Group Volunteering Program

The consultancy, which started in October 2020 and lasted for 9 months, covered the development of structuring and projects that will enable Kale Group employees to systematically volunteer.

İntermobil

As part of the consultancy started in December 2020, Intermobil’s Global Compact Communication on Progress reporting study is carried out.

Technology Development Foundation of Turkey Xnovate Program Impact Assessment Study

Mikado carries out the impact assessment study of the Xnovate Program carried out by the Technology Development Foundation of Turkey. Within the scope of consultancy, Xnovate’s Theory of Change was prepared, and focus group interviews were held with Xnovate Circle and Xnovate Fellows participants in order to collect in-depth data from Xnovate Program beneficiaries. After the focus group studies, the impact analysis study continued with the impact assessment questionnaire administered to the Xnovate Circle and Xnovate Fellows participants. In addition to these studies, Social Impact Management Training was given to the TTGV team to inform them about social impact and to increase the team’s competencies. The studies started in July 2020 and ended in December 2020.

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development

The Future is Clearer Youth Platform, which we have supported since its establishment, received grant support from the EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) in partnership with Mikado, within the scope of the Embark Project it has been running. Sustainable Future Contest

Mikado organizes the “Sustainable Future Contest”, which was developed by the German Embassy to raise awareness of sustainability among young people and to be sensitive to social problems. 1263 applications were received from various cities of Turkey for the competition, which was completed on 1 August. Business Platform for Goals

As Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy, within the scope of the project we worked with Business World Platform for Goals, we conducted the proofreading of the Turkish version of the Sustainable Development Goals and Business Reporting Guidelines on Sustainable Development Goals and also provided the terminology controls of the guides.

Youth Research with GAP UK

As Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy, we will help young people question the world they want to live in, with an international project we carry out in cooperation with the UK Global Action Plan (GAP UK); We have launched an international movement to encourage young people to discover and fight for what matters most, by giving them the knowledge, skills and self-confidence they need.

Young people are more and more worried about the problems of our world, especially about the climate and ecological crisis. They want to do something to contribute to the solution, but they do not know where to start or they think that what they can do will not make any difference. On the other hand, teachers state that they do not feel equipped to have discussions on climate change with their students and they do not know what to recommend to students beyond simple lifestyle changes.

As Mikado, in this project, we first gathered answers through surveys and focus group studies in order to better understand what is important for youth. Answers from students in Turkey and the UK will help design simple exercises and activities that teachers (without having to be climate experts) can manage around the world. With these activities, teachers will be able to have meaningful conversations with their classes about climate change and the ecological crisis, helping students turn their concerns into action-oriented solutions and help students become change creators on the environment.

Opinions of young people aged 7-18 on the barriers and facilitators to take action to protect nature and help other people were collected through surveys and focus groups. Nilüfer Municipality Social Entrepreneurship Center Consultancy Study

As Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy, we started cooperation with Bursa Nilüfer Municipality as of January 31st. Within the scope of the cooperation that will continue for 12 months, Mikado will support the establishment of the Nilüfer Municipality Social Entrepreneurship Center.

During the consultancy, it is planned to structure the center, ensure its operation and provide the necessary training and mentoring services.

Çanakkale Highway and Bridge Project Social Support Program Monitoring and Evaluation Study

Çanakkale Motorway and Bridge Construction Investment and Operation Inc. (ÇOK A.Ş.) and Mikado cooperation started as of February. Within the scope of the cooperation, the monitoring and evaluation process of the Çanakkale Motorway Project Community Level Support Program is carried out.

The evaluation takes place within the framework of the implementation audit and reporting of the social investment program being implemented in the campuses around the Çanakkale Highway.

Maxion İnci Wheel Group Corporate Sustainability Trainings

As part of the cooperation between Mikado Consulting and Maxion, a series of Corporate Sustainability Trainings were held online for Maxion executives in June and July 2020. During the interactive training, methods that can be followed in integrating the sustainability and responsible management approach into the company’s business processes were presented, as well as tools for one-to-one application were shared.

Kumport Sustainability Report

The cooperation between Kumport Port Services and Mikado has started in April 2018 and continued in the year 2020. During this period, Mikado prepared the 2017 and 2018 Sustainability Reports of Kumport. The 2017 sustainability report which was prepared in line with the most recent Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards is the first sustainability report published in the port services sector in Turkey. Kumport 2019 Sustainability Report was published in July 2020.

Açık Açık Social Initiative

Mikado Consulting takes part in the Açık Açık Social Initiative, which is a platform established to bring people, institutions and investors together with social enterprises that are transparent, accountable and accept the Social Enterprise Declaration. We have prepared the social impact report for 2019 of the Sustainable Life Film Festival, which has been held every year since 2008, in order to understand the concept of sustainability correctly and to raise awareness in the society.

We provided consultancy support in the process of determining the sustainability priorities to be realized by Nurol İnşaat.

TEID Academy Sustainability and Ethics Training

As Mikado, we held the training titled “Sustainability and Ethics” within the 6th Term Certificate Program of TEID Academy Corporate Ethics and Compliance Management for the members of the Ethics and Reputation Society (TEID), whose work we support.

Garanti BBVA Employee Volunteering Online Training

Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy, Garanti BBVA cooperation started in May 2019. Within the scope of Garanti BBVA’s Employee Volunteering structuring, Mikado supported the creation of volunteer training content and the adaptation of the content to the digital platform.

Aster Textile Sustainability Management

Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy and ASTER Tekstil started their cooperation as of June 2019. Within the scope of this cooperation, the establishment of the sustainability structuring of Mikado ASTER Tekstil; determining sustainability priorities; It supported the development of the sustainability strategy, the internalization of the sustainability understanding and the conduct of stakeholder dialogue with the main stakeholders of ASTER Tekstil within the framework of sustainability. United Nations International Organization for Migration Campaign Film Perception Research

Within the scope of a project carried out jointly by the Directorate General of Migration Management of the Ministry of Interior with the United Nations International Organization for Migration, a film was prepared in order to raise social awareness towards Turkish society and immigrants, and was shared with the public as part of the International Migrants Day on December 18. Mikado and Zenna Research Company carried out the perception study created by the film during the month of March.

CMS Wheel Sustainability Report

Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy and CMS Jant Sanayi A.Ş. started its collaborations as of March 2019. Within the scope of the study, Mikado supported the preparation of the 2017-2018 Sustainability Report of CMS. The report was finalized by obtaining GRI approval as of September 2019.

Hrant Dink Foundation Crossing Borders Program Impact Assessment

The Impact Assessment Report for the 2017-2019 period of the Hrant Dink Foundation’s Crossing the Borders: Turkey-Armenia Travel Grant, Scholarship Program and Dialogue Program was prepared by Mikado.

Mikado&BSR Pharma Industry Human Rights Assesment

Within the scope of the cooperation, the human rights assessment of the international pharmaceutical company operating in Turkey was carried out on May 30-31. Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy and Hayat Kimya started their cooperation as of April 2018. Within the scope of the cooperation that lasted for 15 months, Mikado established the sustainability structure of Hayat Kimya; provided support in determining the sustainability priorities, developing the sustainability strategy and conducting stakeholder dialogue studies. The cooperation between Sütaş Group and Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy started as of February 2018. Borusan Holding “My Mom's Job is My Future” Project Social Impact Report

A study to evaluate the impact on the stakeholders of the “My Mother’s Job is My Future” project, implemented by Borusan Holding in cooperation with the Ministry of Family and Social Policies and the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, to support the increase of women’s employment and empowerment of women in industry and to increase organizational efficiency July-September 2017 carried out between Nursery and day care centers for children aged 0-6, opened by Borusan Holding under the name “Borusan Joy Factory” in Adıyaman, Afyonkarahisar, Balıkesir and Malatya organized industrial zones (OSB) as of 2013, by bringing more women into business life in the industry, aimed to lay the groundwork for the strengthening of the family and the country’s economy.

As part of the cooperation, Mikado visited the local governments, non-governmental organizations, Borusan Joy Factories and OIZs within the scope of the project and held one-on-one interviews during the field visit to these provinces in order to measure the impact of the project on its main stakeholders. The findings will be used to further improve the project and increase its social impact on its stakeholders.

Sustainability Practices with Kahve Dünyası

Within the scope of the cooperation that started in August 2017, Mikado conducted a 3-legged Sustainability Program developed for the Coffee World. The program includes the development of environmentally friendly practices in the 3 Kahve Dünyası stores to be selected, the establishment of the Kahve Dünyası volunteer structure and supporting the communication of these sustainability efforts.

Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy and ENKA started their cooperation as of March 2017. The Water Explorer Program is a fun, inspiring, educational and web-based program that allows thousands of students around the world to take joint action on water issues in their schools and communities.

In order not to remain indifferent to this problem and to support 8-14 age group students to be pioneers for a more water conscious world, different institutions from 11 countries, an international non-governmental organization based in England, Global Action Plan, to create the Water Explorer program full of fun and exciting activities. TurkStream Gas Pipeline Project - Marine Sector Social Impact Assessment

Aiming to create a reliable energy source for Turkey and Southeastern Europe by directly connecting the huge natural gas reserves in Russia to Turkey’s natural gas distribution network, the Turkish Stream project aims to reach the Thrace coast of Turkey, starting from the city of Anapa near the Russian coast and proceeding for 910 km over the Black Sea. The offshore pipeline system of the pipeline is planned to consist of 2 parallel lines passing through the Black Sea, and the pipelines enter the sea near Anapa on the Russian coast and exit to the Turkish coast in Kiyikoy, Kırklareli. Between December 2016 and May 2017, Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy carried out the socio-economic due diligence of Kiyikoy, where the project landed, and evaluated the potential impacts of the project and developed recommendations for mitigation and measures to be taken.

Social Impact Measurement Mechanism Development For Smart Village

Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy was responsible for the establishment of the monitoring-evaluation and social impact measurement mechanism that will cover all the activities and projects of the “Smart Village”, which started to be realized in 2016 in partnership with Tabider Agricultural Awareness Development Association and Tabit Smart Agricultural Technologies. The “Change with Business” project, carried out in partnership with Koç University Social Impact Forum (KUSIF), Unicredit Foundation, Vehbi Koç Foundation, Social Innovation Center and with the support of Mikado Sustainable Development Consultancy, aims to increase the social impact of social entrepreneurs by ensuring their economic sustainability. The project aimed to encourage the financial sector in Turkey to develop new strategies and to enable social entrepreneurs to respond to their needs in this direction. Gender Equality Toolkit for French Development Agency

Since October 2016, Mikado has supported the project developed by the French Development Agency and TSKB to increase women’s employment in companies in Turkey. The project aimed to raise awareness for companies from different sectors to improve their performance on women’s employment and gender equality in the workplace. Mikado’s mission was to develop a tool that enables companies to self-assess and create action plans on women’s employment and gender equality. The project aimed at strengthening the ties between education and labour force market by improving the quality of vocational education at Hatay province and thus make vocational education an option for girls and increase their attendance. Purpose of the Project: To enable information sharing with innovative methods, to create synergy between non-governmental organizations, educational institutions and companies, to be a personal and professional development channel, to establish a communication network of thousands of young people, to encourage employee volunteering. Business & Human Rights Capacity Building Program

The aim of the project, supported by the Dutch Consulate and developed by Mikado Consulting in collaboration with Sabancı University, was to spread human rights practices in the business world. Within the scope of the project, which started in June 2012 and lasted for one and a half years, two two-day “Human Rights in the Business World” training sessions were organized with the participation of 29 people representing 16 companies in October 2012 and January 2013. The second pillar of the project was the implementation guidance. Companies that participated in the “Human Rights in the Business World” training and wished to implement good practices within their organizations were provided with 6-month practical guidance free of charge. 5 of the 16 companies participating in the program benefited from this guidance. In the last phase of the project, the “Good Practice Conference” was held on September 25, 2013, open to the participation of anyone interested in the subject. Companies that benefited from the guidance and implemented good human rights practice within their organization presented their practices to the participants. In addition, a “Good Practice Booklet” was prepared and shared with the public, which includes the whole process and good practice cases of companies that receive guidance.

The joint work of Turkcell and Mikado Sustainable Development Consulting covers the period between July 2013 and April 2014. Within the scope of the services offered to Turkcell within this period, due diligence on corporate responsibility; preparation of a Sustainability Strategic Plan, including short, medium and long-term improvement actions; and the preparation of Turkcell’s 2012-2013 Sustainability Report in accordance with GRI G3.1 Sustainability Reporting Principles and Global Compact (GC) Progress Reporting. Mikado Consulting carried out the consultancy of Koç Holding’s Vocational High School, A Crucial Matter Project between 2007-2012. Within the scope of this consultancy, the “Vocational High School Coaching” system, which is the most distinctive application of the project, was established, the application module contents of volunteer coaches and scholarship students were developed, and the monitoring-evaluation mechanism of the project was established. Within the scope of the project, Mikado Consulting provided the annual coaching and volunteering trainings of 373 people who are coaching volunteers from 21 different Koç Group companies. Mikado Consulting supported the establishment and execution of YKM’s social investment program between 2010 and 2012.
